Comment: I still listen to the classics and watch the Past to Present video and your drumming was special. I am also a big fan of Steely Dan and listening to them today with your input is just as special.

What a great tribute the rest of the guys give you ongoing - how it should be.

Comment: Hi, Jeff! It's been a few months since I haven't come to visit. Now I'm doing it because Toto is on tour again as a 6 piece band; besides, your anniversary (1st of April) is closer!
Everybody seems excited about the shows which are certainly great! Hopefully I'll see the band in Budapest in august...Still, it will be strange: Toto once again without YOU... You are always in my heart!

Comment: Jeff, no one can play like you could. Rosanna is out of time and space. Toto was and is still great, but will never be the same without you.

Comment: Bonham was 'heavy', fast, loud and a real rock n roll 60s/70s drummer - a great....but Jeff Porcaro was MORE! MORE diverse, MORE 'rhythmic', MORE feel...JUST PLAIN BETTER!!! every time i hear his drumming and percussion work on toto material and his PROLIFIC - (because he was the best) - session work, i genuinely marvel at his brilliance. jeff - your work will always live on through your music. for that, every individual that appreciates FINE drumming/percussion work, should be more than grateful! thanks man.

Comment: Real Class. You made the drums talk, yell and whisper. You filled in all the blanks. A drummer's drummer. Still love the song you played...Mother on Pink Floyd's "The wall" album. RIP but your memory lives on. We're still playing to the Toto songs!!

Comment: Ever since I was a kid, my memories of anticipating the next release with Jeff playing on it were nothing short of joyous. From Toto to George Benson to Christopher Cross, if Jeff Porcaro played on it - I bought it!! I always aspired to be like him... I've been playing drums for almost 30 years now, and I owe most of it to Jeff... the feels, the fills, etc... the rest is a mixture of John Bonham, Alex Van Halen and, of course, Si-Phi... The thrill of my life came a couple of years ago when I finished a gig in Melbourne, Australia, and a guy came up to me and said "Man, you sound like Porcaro!"... I don't claim to be anywhere near as good as him... but that was the GREATEST compliment anybody has ever given me as a player.
When Jeff died, I was 20 years old and playing in a speed metal band... When I heard the news, I cried for 3 days, quit the metal band, brought out the old LP's, CD's and tapes, and got back to some real 'PLAYING'...
If I ever feel low, I play anything with Jeff on it, and I'm "re-inspired"... He was surely the greatest drummer...EVER!
Thank you, Jeff - wherever you are....
