Comment: Jeff, I have been playing drums since 20 years now, trying to improve my grooving and continuously searching for embellishments but when I discovered you I stopped searching. Your incredible and unequalled groove in Rosanna made my way to Heaven in drumming, just like now you made Yours to The Father. Bless us from Heaven where now Angels can be delighted by your magic touch. You'll be in my thoughts forever.

Comment: Jeff- It's Christmas Day, but it's not the same as it could be if you were here. You are truely missed and I'm certain that this world would be a much better place with you here. Others will live and die by what you've given us but none will ever compare. Rest in peace, Jeff, and merry christmas to you.

peace

Comment: The time passes but Jeff is still with us
and will be for ever.
We miss you Jeff. Every time I heard your magic touch on a record, it's the same intense emotion. I have a enormous regret: I have never seen him on stage... Of course the Toto Band is unique by his talent and feeling. I enjoy the next tour on Toulouse and the sample of "bottom of the soul" is magically Porcaro'ing
If God exists...He has a great pleasure to have a friend like Jeff

Comment: I just loved every groove I heard played by Jeff, even before I knew his name. The day Jeff died, a drum student of mine broke the news to me. My student brought an article with the sad news, and we both cried like babies. I cancelled all my teaching that day. I just felt so sad. Luckily I got to watch Jeff live in action once in my life. It was at Ahoy, Rotterdam. I believe the year was 1986. It was unbelievable. Toto sounded incredible and Jeff... He just grooved so hard! I have the deepest respect and admiration for Jeff and Toto.

God bless,
Hans

Comment: Jeff Porcaro had the golden touch. I've been playing drums for twenty two years. Jeff has had an amazing influence over my playing. He always seemed to play the perfect part for each song that he played on. To this day, I have yet to hear a ballad played on the drums as well as Jeff played them. Tons of drummers can rock out and wail on the drums. Ballads are different. They require a certain amount of finesse, and knowing what to play for the song. Jeff was the king of feel and just playing on pure emotion. I was featured in the January 2004 issue of Modern Drummer magazine, in a section called "On The Move". In the article some of my drumming inspirations were mentioned(Jeff's being one of them!) It was such an honor for me to be in the magazine, and to have Jeff's name printed in my write up. Although I miss hearing new material from him, I am grateful for all of the wonderful recordings he made in his life. I will never forget him!
