SPRINGSTEEN, BRUCE

In a letter to Susan Porcaro after Jeff's death, Bruce Springsteen called Jeff "a kindred spirit whose beauty went beyond craft and precision, into the realm of spirit. With that he graciously blessed my music. He was a soul man."
A tape followed of Springsteen describing Jeff to the crowd at a concert the night after his death, and singing "Human Touch" in tribute.

Jeff Porcaro plays the drums on his album "Human Touch" (1992). There's a rumor Bruce Springsteen offered Jeff $1 million to tour with him after this album. Jeff declinded this offer since he was planned to tour with Toto again. On the boxset "Tracks" released in 1998, Jeff also appears on some previously unreleased tracks:
