FRAMPTON, PETER
Toto's very first live-show was in Hawaii when opened for Peter Frampton. Steve Lukather in a 1986 interview with Steven Rosen:
And then all of a sudden we were on the road, never having played in front of people before... We scuffled along there until we got used to it. We played in a club in Hawaii for a couple of weeks, playing two sets a night just to get into it. The first big gig we ever did was in Honolulu opening for Peter Frampton in 1978.
