FAR CORPORATION
This group was formed by well-known producer Frank Farian (who would start
Milli Vanilli) in the mid eighties. On this album several Scandinavian musicians
joined forces with David Paich, Steve Lukather, => Simon Phillips
and => Bobby Kimball. The single 'Stairway to Heaven'
was a small hit in the U.K. In 1993 the second FC album was released: 'Solitude'.
This album features Simon Phillips on drums and also contains two remixes of
songs on the original album.
Rune Lied posted some information about who plays on "Stairway to
Heaven" on the Toto mailinglist: I got this video called "Rock Classics" which includes
Far Corporation with "Stairway to Heaven" and it's Curt Cress behind the
drums. Luke is playing the acustic part in the beginning and the solo in
the middle. Robin McAuley is singing from the beginning and Bobby comes in
and sings on the second half and the high parts."
