"CAROLS OF CHRISTMAS II"
"The Carols of Christmas II" features 15 of the best-loved hymns and carols of the holiday season interpreted by a cross section of top Windham Hill artists, including familiar names like George Winston, Jim Brickman and Liz Story as well as surprise guests such as Steve Lukather, Joan Armatrading and newly signed Windham Hill artist Janis Ian, who, in a special collaboration with Deanna Carter and Kathy Mattea, creates an exquisite rendition of "Emmanuel."Of the new collection, one may safely say "All is calm, all is bright." Observed producer Creagan, "I loved the first record, but what I wanted to do was slightly different. I wanted to bring in some nontraditional Windham Hill artists like Janis Ian, and even some rockers like Steve Lukather and Robin Le Mesurier."
Lukather, best known for his ubiquitous session work and lead role in Toto, does a dynamic solo-guitar interpretation of "O Tannenbaum".
