Timothy B Schmidt, bass played and vocalst in the band, The Eagles, performed background vocals on the Toto IV record. I can most clearly be heard on the chorus of "I Won't Hold You Back." In addition, Schmidt did backing vocals for the band on the Toto IV tour.


Schmidt returned to the studio with Toto in 1999 for the => Mindfields record, where he recorded background vocals on Mysterious Ways, Selfish, and Melanie.
