“Falling In Between” is Toto’s latest studio release to date and makes the first studio recording with new-comer Greg Phillinganes.
“Falling In Between” features a much more progressive feel to Toto’s music, and it is arguably Toto’s most versatile release to date.
Guest musicians include Ian Anderson of “Jethro Tull” and James Pankow and several members of the Chicago Horn Section on the track “Dying On My Feet.”
Both Joseph Williams and Steve Porcaro perform on this record, with Joe sharing lead vocals on
=> “Bottom of Your Soul” and Steve Porcaro producing several tracks. Steve is credited as “saving” the track
=> “King of the World,” which Luke called a “throwaway” until Steve P got a hold of it.
“Falling In Between” is Toto’s first release with Frontiers Records, and it was awarded “Album of the Year” on the Melodicrock.com website.
