The working title for the 1986 "Fahrenheit" album was "Cause and Effect."
Rumor has it that the title track was originally intended for => Michael Jackson's "Bad" album, but never used. "Listening to its typically Jackson-esque bass line one can only question Jacko's sanity in turning it down." (from an article by Jerry Ewing)
Fahrenheit is the scale of temperature measurement used in The United States, unlike the rest of the world that uses Celsius. A brief synopsis of the Fahrenheit system compared to Celsius: where water freezes at 0 degrees Celsius, that reading would be 32 degrees Fahrenheit. Also, where water boils at 100 degrees C, the same reading is 212 degrees Fahrenheit. The degree span ratio is 5:9, that is: a span of 5 degrees Celsius is the same span of 9 Fahrenheit degrees.
