Among all this musician stuff, i always wondered:

What's your actual personnal car ?
And what are your preferred ones among your past cars ?

Because to me, you obviously like cars ;)

Thank you ;)

Comment: Hi Simon!

Loved the story about getting caught in customs. I remember getting stopped in customs and thinking several times in travel during my drumming career thinking, "I wonder if Simon Phillips ever has to go through this", and then thinking, "Well, he could always drop the "Who" name or "Toto"...... or his own name should be enough!

Looking forward to see what projects are next for you. I always hope for some more collaborations with P. Townshend.....

Thanks for the inspiration and music through the years.

Tom

Comment: Hi Simon

Just thought I'd paste in my Toto facebook comments below. I know this site is your's not TOTO's but I'd be interested in your view's and your fans.

Looking forward to hearing your new band in the UK!

Cheers

Mike

Whilst I hear everyone's appreciative comments on TOTO and wishing band members every success with future projects, this emotion runs a whole lot deeper. I reached the grand age of 50 this year. Toto have been part of my life since the beginning. Hence 31 years of my life with TOTO and 19 without. Without doubt Falling in Between was a great tour, album and DVD but I don't have closure knowing I couldn't say goodbye at these gigs. Having time to follow other projects and indeed careers is perfectly ok but to just say it's over is heartbreaking.

For one thing you need to tour with Mike on a farewell tour at least. Also many things can be done without splitting. Recording, showcase gigs, workshops and of course after a well earned rest. Taking a break to 2010 or later is fine!
I can plot the ups and downs of my life to the TOTO album releases. From Ex-girlfriends at college, getting married, having kids to this year my son coming to the Falling in Between gig at Bristol, brilliant!

If the Stones can keep it going there is no reason for TOTO to split at such a young age! The Stones do make a shed load of money but I know you guys aren't just in it for the money.

TOTO is a brand not just a band. It is a brand with values of musicianship, excitement, quality, talent, creativity, strength, dedication, self-motivation, independence. Use your band AND brand values to continue to engage with fans old and new across the world. The TOTO Foundation anyone?

Who's calling the shots on this? Does everyone agree on the end? Luke has a solo career and the others can go back to sessions (not you Simon), but sessions aren't like being in a band. And here's the contentious one... could the band carry one without Luke? There's no one better, but I'd rather see a Luke-less Toto than not one at all. Sacrilege I know!

Comment: Hello sir Simon,

Maybe you remember me that wear TOTO T-shirt in your clinic tour in Jakarta..
I want to say that I am one of your greatest fans here. Hehehe ^^
I'm very happy to come to your clinic. I've wait for that for 7 years since I began play drums..
But I'm little dissapointed,I've watched Toto concert for three times and your clinic but I've never get your drumstick even a single pair. Hehehe
Maybe that is the one of my dream haven't come true yet...
Thanks

Kevin

Comment: Hi,

I am very sorry to hear that Toto has split up. I hope it was in peace with each other. You did a very great job, as drummer in this fantastic band.

When I watch the DVD's of the gigs I am enjoying your playing very much. (like the stick change in LIA ;-))

Good luck with your career, and I will keep watching and listening!

Greetings,

Ronald

Itīs so sad to hear, that Toto will disband. It seems that there where some differences between whom ever. I hope, that afer all this years Toto will disband as friends!! You all made history with every single track and i still hope to wake up and find out it was a dream. However, keep on drumming and visit Germany as often as you can ;-)
Your dearest fan,

Michael
